Outside Sales Representative

Summary/ Objective

Outside Sales Representative you are responsible for recognizing and cultivating potential sales leads, traveling to meet with prospective and existing customers, and forming lasting beneficial relationships. Will also drive profitable growth by expanding Seaberg Industries customer base and increasing sales within the bistate area.

Essential Functions:

  • Effective communication and establishing relationships with customers.
  • Coordinate quotes and sales opportunities with sales manager.
  • Follow up and resolution of customer issues.
  • Drive profitable growth by expanding Seaberg’s customer base and increasing sales.
  • Engineering supply chains based on current opportunities with a new or existing customer base.
  • Increasing the awareness of service offerings and representing the brand to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop a clear understanding of business practices including forecasting, distribution, and code of ethics.
  •  Maintaining detailed sales reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Planning and carrying out sales and marketing activities to agreed budget, sales volumes, values, product mix, and time frames.

Work Environment: 

This job operates outside of the office. 

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work:

This is a first shift, full-time, salaried position. 

Travel:

Travel is expected for this position. 

 Education and Experience:

  • Experience in the manufacturing process
  • 3-5 years’ experience in metal fabrication
  • Experience with project management and planning
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
